The 4ID’s 51st Anniversary Theme and Logo

THE 4ID SEAL

The iconic seal of the 4ID stands for every Diamond Trooper who forged the Division into one of the most respected units of the Philippine Army. It is the same logo proudly worn by every 4ID personnel on his/her sleeves, and it represents the Army’s Core Values of Honor; Patriotism and Duty. The Diamond seal, one of the most recognizable emblems in the Army, is a symbol of excellence, strength of character, and loyalty to the service. It represents the Division’s enduring culture and tradition to stand, shine and be a source of national pride anytime and anywhere.

THE NUMBER 51 IN GOLD COLOR

The number marks the 51 years of existence of the 4ID since its foundation on 01 February 1970. The gold color symbolizes 4ID’s prestige of being one of the oldest divisions of the Philippine Army, which live-up to the standard of excellence in protecting the people in its Area of Responsibility (AOR). For Diamond Troopers, it commands’ strong desire for an excellent and extraordinary performance of duties even in the most challenging time.

THE RED, GREEN, AND BLACK BLAZING WINDS

Representing the three (3) exceptional organic Infantry Brigades and its OPCON units are the redgreen, and black blazing winds. Despite all the challenges, all Diamond Troopers will brightly and intensely storm all the state’s enemies to ensure that every mission given is accomplished no matter is the situation maybe.

The red represents the units under 401st Infantry (UNITE N’ FIGHT) Brigade, green for 402nd Infantry (STINGERS) Brigade, and black for units under 403rd Infantry (PEACEMAKER) Brigade, which were united in purpose to serve its people better and secure their communities from all kinds of threats.

THE GREEN MAP

The green map behind the number 51 represents the current AOR of 4ID, which covers most parts of Northern Mindanao and Caraga Regions. The green color symbolizes the vast mountainous and forested areas of the two regions, which serves as the battleground of every Diamond Troopers against the state’s enemies. The map is encircled by the three (3) blazing winds, representing all three brigades and their OPCON units, which means that all units will protect the area and safeguard its people.

THE PURPLE RIBBON WITH THE ANNIVERSARY THEME ON TOP

The ribbon embodies the strong bond or esprit-de-corps that every Diamond trooper possessed. Every personnel assigned in 4ID knows that once a Diamond Trooper, always a Diamond Trooper even if eventually transferred outside of 4ID. Every 4ID soldiers treat each other as a family, ready to help each other when needed. 

The purple color denotes creativity, wisdom, dignity, and devotion to duty, which describes every Diamond Troopers’ way of life. Despite all the challenges that come his way, a Diamond Trooper, through the wisdom he gained from experience and his innate devotion to duty, will always use his creativity to find ways to excel in all he does. As a whole, it is what makes the Diamond Division sustain the excellence in protecting the people in its AOR despite all the challenges; hence this year’s anniversary theme; “Diamond Division: Sustaining Excellence Amidst Challenges”.
