DTI continuously trains Farmer’s Organization

IMPASUGONG, Bukidnon. February 26- The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture (DA), and 8th Infantry Battalion (8IB) continuously provide training to the Army-assisted People’s Organizations (POs) at the Tree Park, Barangay Poblacion, Impasugong, Bukidnon on February 23, 2021.

The activity is a reinforcement training on Adlai Production and Processing as a result of the DTI’s Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa Orientation and Action Planning Workshop held at the 8IB last January 26, 2021. Its main goal is to motivate, provide technical support, and guide the members of the POs to improve and develop their capacity toward sustainable development.

The activity was graced by the presence of Ms. Angela Kristine Silangon, DTI Business Counselor-Impasugong; Ms Lorena Duna, Supervising Science Research Specialist, and Mr Nilo C Panugaling Jr, Research Assistant, both lecturers from Northern Mindanao Integrated Agricultural Research Center; 2nd Lt Camille M Bumatay, CMO Officer of 8IB, and four (4) representatives from the POs with a total of 21 members.

@Driane, one of the attendees said “Kini nga pagbansay nakahatag kanamo ug daghang kahibalo kung unsaon og pagpalambo ug pag dumala sa among tanom nga adlai.” (This training gave us a lot of ideas on how can we improve and manage our adlai farm.)

“Ang kini nga kalihukan gihangyo sa mga POs aron makamugna ug daghang kahibalo bahin sa paghimo ug pagproseso ingon usab sa pagpanimpalad sa negosyo. Kanunay nga andam ang DTI nga maghatag ug pagbansay sa mga nanginahanglan,” said Mr Junar B Merla, Officer-in-Charge BDD Chief, DTI Bukidnon. (This activity is requested by the POs to generate more ideas about the viability of adlai production and processing as a business venture. The DTI is always ready to provide training to those who need it.)

Lt. Col Edgardo V Talaroc Jr expressed his gratitude to the DTI for initiating the said activity. He also stressed that the different agencies are sincerely doing their best to provide appropriate and necessary intervention that can be accorded to them. He further said, “Gamita kung unsay inyong nakat-onan gikan sa mga eksperto aron mahimong usa ka labing maayo nga negosyante.” (Apply what you have learned from the experts and become better entrepreneur.)
