IMPASUGONG, BUKIDNON – A total of 18 Former Rebels (FR) who surrendered to the 8th Infantry “Dependable” Battalion (8IB), 4ID, PA turn their firearms over to Bukidnon Police Provincial Office (Buk PPO) earlier this day June 1, 2021 at Camp Cpt Ramon M Onahon, Provincial Headquaters, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon.

The program which is part of the process of the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (ECLIP) was attended by P/LTC Arnel Polo, DPDO, Buk PPO, P/ LTC John Ray Barazan, PCADU, Buk PPO, Ms. Glenda Hope Beley, Cluster Leader, DILG Bukidnon and 1LT Abigail Lorenzo, CMO Officer, 8IB.

The FRs were able to surrender 23 weapons which include 15 High-powered and (eight) 8 low-powered firearms.

(I am already seeing the road towards a peaceful life because I chose to surrender. I pledge to the government that I will help in defeating our insurgency problem. I will give my all so that we will finally attain long-lasting peace.)

Walay laing tukmang panahon aron mabuhi mo nga malinawon kun dili karon.” (This is part of the process in order for the FRs to finally recieve the assistance in return of their surrendered firearms. I am hoping that more members of the CTG will return to the folds of the law so that ECLIP will be able to help more people. There’s no better time to choose peace but now.)
