IMPASUGONG, BUKIDNON – In the pursuit of giving Former Communist NPA Terrorists (CNT) members a better life, the provincial government of Bukidnon gave cash assistance to four (4) Former Rebels under the 8th Infantry (Dependable) Battalion at Malaybalay City this June 18, 2021.
The said FRs identified as Armando Daluniag @Ambo, Former Commander, Hq Force Neo, North Central Mindanao Committee (NCMRC), Roland Lagunday @Ben, former Team Leader, Baking, Sqd1, Pltn1, HQF Neo, NCMRC, Jennel Cabugsa @Jasmin, former Squad Medic, GF68, SRC4, NCMRC and Jinkee Alquizar @Ann, former Deputy Secretary, GF89, NCMRC received monetary assistance from the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO).
Lagunday expressed his appreciation to the government and said, “Ako nagasaad sa gobyerno nga ang tabang pinanasyal nga ilang gihatag kanako maadto sa maayo. Dako gyud kining tabang sa akoang bag-ong kinabuhi luwas sa maling doktrina ug tinudluan sa mga NPA.” (I pledged to the government that the financial assistance given to me will not be put to waste. This will really help me establish a new life away from the wrong doctrines and teachings of the NPA.)
LTC Edgardo Talaroc Jr, Commander 8IB said, “Nagpasalamat kami sa walay puas nga suportang ginahatag sa local nga kagamhanan sa probinsya sa Bukidnon alang sa mga kanhing rebelde. Naghinaut kami nga daghan pang mga myembro sa Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) ang mubalik sa sabakan sa gobyerno ug pilion ang kinabuhing malinawon tungod kami dili moundang sa pagpahigayon og operasyon aron batukan ang kalaban sa gobyerno.” (We are very grateful to the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Bukidnon for their untiring support to our Former Rebels. We hope that more Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) members will chose to return to the folds of the law and live peacefully because we will continue with our military operations to fight the enemy of the government.)
