IMPASUGONG, BUKIDNON – The Communist NPA Terrorists (CNTs) continue to flee after series of encounters with the troops of the 8th Infantry (Dependable) Battalion, Philippine Army in the hinterlands of Agusan del Sur-Bukidnon boundaries last June 30, 2021.
Concerned citizens in the area continue to report to the soldiers the whereabouts of the CNTs conducting extortion activities. While patrolling, the government troops encountered the CNTs and were able to seize one M16 rifle and two backpacks with personal belongings.
LTC Edgardo Talaroc Jr, Commander 8IB said that, “Padayon ang operasyon sa kasundaluhan human nga nadiskubrehan ang daghang dugo sa nahitaboan sa panagsangka. Wala nay laing padulngan ang mga CNT tungod wala na silay baseng masa. Padayon silang magutom sa bukid ug makapoy tungod sa armadong pakigbisog nga walay padulngan.” (We continue our pursuit after discovering bloodstains in the encounter site. The CNTs have nowhere else to hide or run to after losing their mass base. They will continue to experience hunger in the mountains and they will also continue to be exhausted in fighting an armed struggle with a lost cause.)

It can be recalled that a series of encounter also transpired at the same boundary last June 16, 2021 which resulted to the seizure of two high-powered firearms.
