Army gives Funeral Honor to Fallen Hero, as He Finally Got Home in Kadingilan Bukidnon

MARAMAG, BUKIDNON – Another fallen hero who fade-away during the C130 plane mishap in Patikul, Sulu, finally got home, Monday July 12, 2021 in Kadingilan Bukidnon, and laid to rest and was given a funeral honor by 88th IB, Maringal Trooper yesterday, July 13 2021 at Barangay, Matampay, Kadingilan, Bukidnon.

Late TSg Nelson B Hadjiri is unselfishly devoted his self for his country and gives a good military service for twenty two (22) years and he was about to retire soon.

He is a Tausug, and base from their culture and tradition once a Tausug died, they immediately need to bury with in 24hrs. The bereaved family of the late Technical Sergeants is still in a state of shock and very emotional that they couldn’t say anything, but then, still thankful to the unwavering support of the government and thankful to our troops.

The 88th IB extended necessary assistance to the bereaved family by bringing the remains of late TSg Hadjiri’s home, assigning vigil guards and offering a wreath for the wake. The three (3) volleys of fires rendered as part of military funeral honors was given to the fallen hero a tribute to the sacrifice of their fallen comrades. Family, relatives and friends of late TSg Nelson B. Hadjiri, attended the ceremony and Mrs. Eldivina T. Hadjiri accepted the Philippine Flag as symbol of ultimate sacrifices, heroism and bravery of his beloved husband.

LTC Christian James P Vingno, Commander 88IB said that, “on behalf of the 88IB Maringal Troopers and whole Philippine Army our deepest sympathy and condolences to the bereaved family, relatives and friends of TSg Hadjiri. Though they fade away, but their sacrifices, heroism and bravery will never fade and they will always be remembered as a hero.”

It can be recalled that Late TSg Nelson B Hadjiri was included in the C-130 mishap at Patikul, Sulu last July 4, 2021.
