Gov’t Joins Hands in Resolving Borderline Issue

On February 15, 2022, the 29th Infantry (Matatag) Battallion under the 901st Infantry (Fight ‘em) Brigade together with 402nd Infantry (Stingers) Brigade joins Hon. Maria Angelica Rosedell Amante Matba, 2nd District Representative of Agusan del Norte, the National Commission on Indigenous People Region 13, Department of Environment and Natural Resources Region 13 conducted the establishment of demarcation line and placement of boundary marker in the highly contested borders of Pangaylan and Matingue of Santiago, Agusan del Norte.

The group had to cross 11 rivers and climb two mountains to settle the land dispute between the Porogoy Clan and Tagulaylay Clan settlers of Pangaylan and Matingue, Santiago, Agusan del Norte.
