CAMP EVANGELISTA, Cagayan de Oro City – The 4th Infantry (Diamond) Division was awarded the Best Executive Order No. 70 Partner by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA)-X on August 31, 2022.
Director Ashary A. Banto, the Regional Director of TESDA-X, bestowed the award during TESDA’s 28th Founding Anniversary celebration and the Annual TESDA Awards 2022, held at Mallberry Suites Business Hotel, Osmeña Street, Cagayan de Oro City.
The 4ID, and its subordinate units, the 88th Infantry “Maringal” Battalion, 58th Infantry “Dimalulupig” Battalion, and the 16th Infantry “Maglilingkod” Battalion, all received a Plaque of Appreciation for its exemplary support and outstanding collaboration with TESDA-X as partners in the convergence program under the Regional Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (RTF-ELCAC), in support to the endeavor of promoting sustainable and inclusive peace and development.
MGen Wilbur C Mamawag PA, the Commander of 4ID, expressed his gratitude to TESDA-X for this recognition and vowed to continue actively partnering with them in its continuing quest for peace and development.
“We are truly honored by this award which I believe will inspire us to work even harder to achieve our common goals of eliminating the root causes of insurgency.” MGen Mamawag said.
EO70 was signed by former President Rodrigo R. Duterte, which institutionalized the “whole-of-nation” approach to insurgency which is being orchestrated by the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC).
