Anlag-Ani Tapukanan: A Livelihood Arcade for the Former Rebels.

CLAVERIA Misamis Oriental – Anlag Ani Tapukanan Livelihood Arcade for Former Rebels officially opened to the public after a soft opening and blessing. The 58th Infantry Dimalulupig Battalion with the grace of Hon. Governor Peter “Sr. Pedro” Unabia unveiled the long-awaited livelihood arcade for the former rebels at Sitio Migbanday, Poblacion, Claveria, MisOr. on September 28, 2022.

Taken from Higaonon dialect ANLAG-Sunshine; ANI-Kita/Harvest and TAPUKANAN-place of gathering. This place is a testament to good convergence in the spirit of the whole of the nation approach to end local communist armed conflict (ELCAC) and providing our former rebel’s livelihood as an integral part of integrating them into mainstream society.

This livelihood arcade showcases the skills and product outputs of the former rebels from different programs and training given by our partner stakeholders, line agencies, and their sub-bureaus. It is one of the many ways that the unit could extend their help by giving them a chance to live a better and have a brighter future, by marketing their products through the Anlag Ani Tapukanan Livelihood Arcade.

This is one of the flagships of the NTF-ELCAC to end local communist armed conflict, which grants livelihood assistance that will contribute to poverty reduction and reduce the vulnerability to risks the vulnerable and marginalized the support for the former rebels.

The said opening was attended by Hon. Governor Peter “Sr. Pedro” Unabia, Governor Misamis Oriental, facilitated the Unveiling of Marker and Ribbon Cutting together with LTC RICKY L CANATOY INF (GSC) PA, Commanding Officer of the 58 Infantry Dimalulupig Battalion as well as the different stakeholders and other government sectors under the E-CLIP technical working committee. Through this government intervention, the former rebels will be able to address their long-term needs.
