CAMP EVANGELISTA, Cagayan de Oro City – The 4th Infantry (Diamond) Division held a 3-day Platoon Leaders’ Combat Proficiency Symposia (PLCPS) on September 6-8, 2022 at Camp Evangelista, Patag, Cagayan de Oro City.
There were sixty-four (64) participants, 31 of which attended onsite while 33 attended online.
The three-day symposia, with a theme “Enhancing Army Leadership Acumen to Achieve Victory against Threats to National Security”, aims to keep Platoon Leaders updated on the current thrusts and programs of the Philippine Army while enhancing their leadership skills and capabilities in both combat and non-combat missions.
The said activity was jointly supervised by the Office of the Assistance Chief of Staff for Education and Training and the Army Learning and Development Center, Training and Doctrine Command (ALDEC), PA.
MGen Wilbur C Mamawag, the Commander of 4ID, expressed his appreciation to the facilitators of the symposia. He reminded the young and dashing Platoon Leaders that as front-liners in our counter-insurgency campaign, they need to keep enhancing their leadership skills and capabilities, for them to be effective leaders of men, especially now that we are achieving significant milestones against the communist terrorists.
