The troops of the 4th Infantry (Diamond) Division joined all Muslim brothers and sisters in celebrating the culmination of the holy month of Eid al-Adha, also known as the Feast of Sacrifice, on June 28, 2023, held at 4ID Mosque, Patag, Cagayan de Oro City.
Eid al-Adha (Feast of Sacrifice) is one of the most significant events in Islam. This auspicious occasion holds profound spiritual and cultural importance, commemorating all Muslim followers’ unwavering faith and devotion. The festival encourages believers to ponder their commitment to their faith, promoting introspection, gratitude, and a renewed sense of spirituality.
As millions of Muslims gather to observe this sacred event, Eid al-Adha serves as a beautiful reminder of the values of faith, sacrifice, and unity that are cherished by the global Muslim community.
Commander 4ID, Major General Jose Maria R Cuerpo II, uttered that this celebration embraces diversity and promotes interfaith relationships of individuals from different cultural and religious backgrounds to come together, learn from one another, and celebrate the shared values of compassion, sacrifice, and gratitude. “By engaging in meaningful conversations and fostering mutual respect, Eid al-Adha strengthens the bonds of unity and harmony among diverse communities,” he added.
