Senior Master Sergeant Johnny S Escolta, the Sergeant Major of the 4th Infantry (Diamond) Division, Philippine Army, conducted troop information and education to all available Diamond troopers held at 4ID, Grandstand, Camp Evangelista, Patag, Cagayan de Oro City on June 30, 2023.
Said activity mainly aims to address related issues concerning discipline as well as constantly check the morale and welfare of the Diamond troopers as part of the Division Sgt Major (DSM) Office initiative to strengthen professionalism among the Enlisted Personnel Corps and update them on the specific guidance and programs of the Command.
It was participated by more than 145 enlisted personnel composed of all the First Sergeants and NCO Chief Clerks of various offices and the students of Restructured Reenlistment Training (RRT).
Senior Master Sergeant Escolta also emphasized that accurate and timely information dissemination is crucial for the efficient functioning of units and the overall success of missions.
Said activity provided the troops an avenue and the opportunity to raise and share their insights on issues and concerns. It intends to ensure the understanding of NCO empowerment which boosts soldiers to achieve excellence in performing their various tasks and functions and contribute to the overall success of the unit.
Further, SMS Escolta also stressed the need for Senior NCOs to observe and instill feedback mechanisms in their unit and play a vital role in the resolution of issues and concerns to maintain respect, camaraderie, and smooth functioning of the unit.
