CLAVERIA, Misamis Oriental- The 58th Infantry (Dimalulupig) Battalion under the leadership of Lt. Col. Christian C Uy, formally handed over the cadaver of the slain top NPA leader Dionesio Micabalo alias Muling to his immediate family this afternoon, July 28, 2023.
The cadaver was extricated on July 27 in the morning with the help and effort of the local government of Gingoog City, it was brought immediately to St Peter Funeral Homes for proper and decent disposition.
It can be recalled that @Muling was killed in a clash between the troops of 58IB on July 26 in the hinterlands of Barangay Libertad, Gingoog City, Misamis Oriental.
Today, Lt. Col. Christian C Uy accompanied by local officials and PNP Gingoog City, met with the family to express their condolences and provide the necessary support during this challenging time. He stated that the Philippine Army is guided by its dedication to humanitarian principles and respect for the dignity of all individuals, regardless of their affiliations.
Meanwhile, the family of Dionesio Micabalo alias Muling expressed their gratitude to military forces and local government of Gingoog City for the proper burial assistance provided for them especially for the remains of @Muling.
