The 4th Infantry (Diamond) Division participated in the Peace & Order and Security Briefing organized by the Cagayan de Oro Chamber of Commerce and Industry Foundation, Inc. (Oro Chamber) on August 10, 2023, held at Grand Caprice Restaurant, Limketkai Center, Rosario Cres, Cagayan de Oro City.
Brig. Gen. Joel M. Paloma, the Assistant Commander of 4ID, attended the activity together with the Officers and representatives from Police Regional Office 10, National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA) Region 10, and Cagayan de Oro Police Office (COCPO), various business owners from CDO and Misamis Oriental, City and Provincial government officials, and media personalities.
The said activity apprised stakeholders in the business sector with invaluable information about the current peace and security landscape that may affect business operations. The briefing also aimed to highlight the ongoing efforts of law enforcement agencies to maintain peace and stability, tackle potential threats, and their continuing efforts in the campaign to address the root cause of insurgency anchored on the government’s “Whole-of-Nation” approach to attaining a peaceful environment conducive to economic growth.
4ID Commander Major General Jose Maria R Cuerpo II enjoined local government units, line government agencies, private sectors, and other stakeholders to come together and unite all efforts to promote sustainable peace in the region where businesses thrive with utmost confidence and security.
