The Inspector General of the Philippine Army (TIG, PA), Major General Rommel K Tello, visited the home of the diamond troopers at Camp Evangelista, Patag, Cagayan de Oro City, on August 15, 2023.
MGen Tello was accorded a company-sized arrival honor and warmly welcomed by the officers, enlisted personnel, and Civilian Human Resources of the 4th Infantry (Diamond) Division led by 4ID Commander Major General Jose Maria R Cuerpo II.
TIG, together with his team, will conduct an annual inspection of 4ID and its line units, including those that are under its operational control, to inspect and assess the unit’s readiness, the performance of mission, utilization of resources (logistics, finance, and human resource), and the state of morale, welfare, and discipline of troops.
During his talk to troops, MGen Tello said that the visit aimed to evaluate the division’s overall performance in its mandated task and provide appropriate assistance and support to 4ID. Further, he enjoined the troops to give their full cooperation and be open throughout the conduct of the inspection for the betterment of the division and the Philippine Army as a whole.
