CSC, Phil Army Recognize 4ID Civilian Human Resource in Celebration of the 123rd Philippine Civil Service Anniversary

CAMP EVANGELISTA, Cagayan de Oro City – The Philippine Civil Service Commission (CSC) and the Philippine Army recognized two (2) Civilian Human Resources (CivHR) from the 4th Infantry (Diamond) Division who displayed exemplary performance of duty during the simultaneous celebration of the 123rd Philippine Civil Service Anniversary this month.

Dubbed “Araw ng Parangal at Pasasalamat sa Natatanging Linkod Kawani ng Hubong Katihan ng Pilipinas,” the said event held at Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City was streamed through Video Teleconferencing (VTC) by all Philippine Army Major Units (PAMUs) nationwide, including 4ID who joined the activity at 4ID Mess Hall, Camp Evangelista, Patag, Cagayan de Oro City.

Miss. Thea Francesca V. Tabudlong, Administrative Officer II of 4ID assigned at the Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations, G3, 4ID, was recognized as Natatanging Linkod Kawani 2023 for having rendered extraordinary performance and demonstrated exemplary ethical behavior. Likewise, Ms. Julieta S. Mama, Psychologist I, from Camp Evangelista Station Hospital (CESH), 4ID, was recognized for obtaining her Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology major in Clinical Psychology, which enhanced her knowledge and skills, enabling her to provide quality performance and achieve excellence in public service.

4ID Commander Major General Jose Maria R Cuerpo II, along with other 4ID key officers bestowed the Plaque of Recognition to the two awardees. Additionally, he also administered the oath-taking of Dr. Analyn Sevallos-Uy, the newly hired Dentist who will be assigned to the Dental department at CESH, 4ID.

In his keynote speech, Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Roy M. Galido acknowledged the dedication and faithful service rendered by Civilian Human Resource (CIvHR). Likewise, He recognized the vital role of CivHR in the success and accomplishment of the Philippine Army. Moreover, He said that the recognition is a sign that the standard of PA CivHR is now elevated to the highest standard. “This awarding event manifests one very simple thing that we have seen all these years: that there is a great improvement in our civil service,” the CGPA remarked.

Meanwhile, MGen Cuerpo II commended the awardees for the honors they received and encouraged them to continue to become an inspiration to others as they continue to serve the Philippine Army. “To the awardees, congratulations for a job well done, and may you become an inspiration and will always be the inspiration to others as we continue to achieve more and may you sustain the same grit in all our endeavors,” He said.

While military personnel are the visible face of a nation’s defense, the Civilian Human Resource (CivHR), considered as the Army’s “Institutional Memory,” works behind the scenes to ensure that the Army can fulfill its missions effectively. They worked with the uniformed personnel, providing administrative support, medical and allied services, technical support, finance services, research, and communication.
