4ID Demonstrates Assets and Capabilities in Static-Kinetic Display for the Philippine Army’s 128th Founding Anniversary

CAMP EVANGELISTA, Cagayan de Oro City – The 4th Infantry (Diamond) Division highlighted its assets and capabilities through a Static and Kinetic Display, accompanied by a special performance from the 4ID Band, in celebration of the 128th Philippine Army Anniversary on March 20-21, 2025, at the Limketkai Mall, Cagayan de Oro City.

This event provided the public, especially the younger generation, with a rare opportunity to engage with military equipment; and experience firsthand the Philippine Army’s strength, readiness, and commitment to national defense. It aimed to foster a deeper appreciation of the Army’s role in ensuring peace and security, while also inculcating a sense of nationalism by inspiring pride in our military’s achievements and encouraging a shared responsibility in securing a peaceful, prosperous future for the country.

Additionally, the exhibit showcased the AFP’s latest modern equipment through well-organized booths from various 4ID operating units, including the Signal Battalion, Service Support Battalion, 4th Installation Management Battalion, 4th Cavalry (Separate) Company, Headquarters Service Company, 4th Post Engineering Detachment, 4th Field Artillery Battalion, and the 10th Forward Service Support Unit.

The 10th Regional Community Defense Group, Camp Evangelista Station Hospital, Philippine Army K9 Battalion, and the Division Governance Strategy Management Office also presented their programs and services.

4ID Commander, Major General Michele B. Anayron Jr., delivered his message through Col. Manuel B. Estanilla, the Assistant Chief of Staff for Civil-Military Operations, G7 who underscored the importance of community engagement through this interactive exhibit. He stated that it did not only highlight the Army’s capabilities but also strengthened the bond between soldiers and the people they serve.

Beyond inspiring nationalism, the event also served as an educational function to inform the public about the rich history and modern defense technologies. This event hoped to ignite aspirations to the youth and the community, as a whole, of joining the armed forces or contributing to national service in other ways.

“With our organization continuing to grow and modernize to address the constantly evolving threats, we take pride in displaying the evolution of the Division through the years, and the capabilities of the Philippine Army in general. Through activities like this, we promote not only our assets but also our commitment to peace and progress. We hope to continue earning your support for the modernization of the AFP, ensuring that our soldiers are well-equipped and trained to perform their duties effectively,” said Major General Anayron Jr.

The Static and Kinetic Display featured an array of military assets, including armored vehicles, tactical communication equipment, and other essential military gear. Demonstrations offered a glimpse into the Philippine Army’s operational capabilities and preparedness in responding to various security challenges and Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) responses.
