4ID joins 3rd Regional Joint Security Control Center Meeting

The 4th Infantry (Diamond) Division joined the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) and other deputized agencies in ironing out preparations for the peaceful conduct of the 2025 Midterm Elections in May, during the 3rd Regional Joint Security Control Center (RJSCC) 10 Meeting at the Division Clubhouse, Camp Evangelista, Brgy. Patag, Cagayan de Oro City on Thursday, March 20, 2025.

Brigadier General Consolito P. Yecla, the 4ID Assistant Division Commander attended the activity on behalf of the 4ID Commander, together with Colonel Rey P. Pasco, the ADC for Reservist and Retiree Affairs and at the same time the Commander of the newly-activated Task Force “FORE” (Fair, Orderly, and Reliable Election).

Also in attendance were Atty. Renato A. Magbutay, the Regional Election Director of Comelec 10; Police Brig. Gen. Jaysen C. De Guzman, the Regional Director of Police Regional Office 10; Commander Christie C. Cabuyaban, the Acting Commander of Coastguard District Northern Mindanao; Mr. Candido P. Bontogon Jr., the Regional Director of National Intelligence Coordinating Agency 10, and other officers and staff of the said agencies.

During the meeting, preparations and various measures were presented and discussed, focusing on stronger security protocols and contingency plans to prevent any violent incidents that could threaten voters and hinder the casting of votes. Moreover, the campaigns on “Kontra Bigay” or against vote-buying, vote-selling, and abuse of state resources were also discussed to ensure a Fair, Orderly, and Reliable Election.

In his message delivered by Brig. Gen. Yecla, Maj. Gen. Anayron Jr. stated that the 4ID is election-ready and will work hand in hand with other law enforcement agencies to effectively address potential threats and ensure the safety of the voters and everyone involved in the electoral process.”We are committed to protect every Filipino citizen’s right to suffrage, protect the sanctity of the ballot, respect human rights, maintain the Army’s professionalism, and practice non-partisanship. Our main goal is to maintain the peace and security before, during, and after election processes,” he said.
