
Brigadier General Fatima Claire S. Navarro, the Surgeon General of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), visited the 4th Infantry (Diamond) Division at Camp Evangelista, Patag, Cagayan de Oro City, on March 27, 2025, to strengthen military medical capabilities in the Area of Responsibilities of 4ID.
Upon arrival, Brig. Gen. Navarro received full military honors, led by Brigadier General Consolito P. Yecla, Assistant Division Commander of 4ID. Her visit underscores the AFP’s continued commitment to advancing combat healthcare systems and medical readiness for frontline troops.
During her engagement with 4ID officials, Brig. Gen. Navarro spearheaded discussions on optimizing field hospital capabilities, enhancing casualty evacuation procedures, and improving medical support for troops operating in conflict zones. She also inspected the Camp Evangelista Station Hospital to assess its medical facilities and ensure they meet the evolving needs of military personnel and civilian beneficiaries.
