

Brigadier General George P Cabreros, the Commander of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Procurement Service, visited the 4th Infantry (Diamond) Division at Camp Evangelista, Patag, Cagayan de Oro City on May 2, 2025, underscoring continued commitment to enhancing logistical operations and procurement efficiency across the AFP units.
The AFPPS Commander was accorded a traditional military arrival honor led by Colonel Rey P. Pasco, Assistant Division Commander for Reservist and Retirees Affairs (ADC RRA), as the military host. He then paid a courtesy call to 4ID Commander Major General Michele B. Anayron Jr. and discussed matters relating to the Division’s current procurement initiatives and future strategies aimed at sustaining the AFP’s operational readiness.
Moreover, BGen Cabreros proceeded to visit the 104th Contracting Office, AFPPS, led by its Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Colonel Joshua C Lim. Said visit is part of a broader effort to strengthen coordination between the AFP Procurement Service and field units, ensuring the timely and transparent acquisition of critical resources as well as to enhance responsiveness to the evolving needs of units in the field.
In a statement, the 4ID Commander stated that the visit is a testament to the Procurement Service Unit’s unwavering commitment to excellence, transparency, and dedicated service. He emphasized that the engagement reaffirms both parties’ collective goal of strengthening procurement systems that directly enhance operational effectiveness and contribute to national security.
