CAMP EVANGELISTA, Cagayan de Oro City – The Task Force Oro of the 4th Infantry (Diamond) Division, Philippine Army held a blessing ceremony for their new mobility assets donated by the Cagayan de Oro City Local Government Unit on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at Headquarters TF-Oro, Zone 10, Patag, Cagayan de Oro City.
Colonel Warren C. Munda, Commanding Officer of Task Force Oro, along with the Officers, Enlisted Personnel, Dependents, and Guests, attended the activity officiated by the Post Catholic Chaplain of the 4th Infantry Division (4ID).
The newly donated mobility assets include one Toyota Hilux Patrol Car and two Motorcycles, both intended to enhance mobile patrol and security operations.
The recent development is a significant milestone resulting from a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signed on December 4, 2023, between the City Local Government Unit (LGU) and the 4th Infantry Division (4ID). This partnership institutionalized the Task Force, clearly outlining the shared roles and responsibilities of both entities in bolstering its operational and administrative functions. The MOA emphasizes the vital collaboration between the city and TFR-Oro, aimed at enhancing public safety and ensuring the security of every Kagay-anon.
Col. Munda conveyed his sincere appreciation to Hon. Rolando A. Uy, City Mayor of Cagayan de Oro, acknowledging his steadfast support and trust in the Task Force’s ability to safeguard the city effectively.
In a statement, 4ID Commander Major General Jose Maria R. Cuerpo II expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the City Local Government Unit (LGU) and Mayor Uy for the new assets that will significantly enhance the unit’s operational capacity. These assets will serve as vital tools in effectively carrying out their mission. Additionally, he highlighted the importance of taking good care of the newly issued assets, sustaining the progress achieved, and upholding the highest standards of discipline while serving the community.
