Diamond Troopers Participate in Kong Hua School Parents’ Auxiliary Council Bloodletting Activity in Cagayan de Oro City

On February 22, 2025, the troops of the 4th Infantry (Diamond) Division, Philippine Army, demonstrated their unwavering commitment to community service by actively participating in the Kong Hua School Parents’ Auxiliary Council Bloodletting Activity held at Kong Hua School, Kauswagan, Cagayan de Oro City.

A total of 24 soldiers took part in the event, contributing a collective 8,550 milliliters (ML) of blood to help meet the community’s need for life-saving blood supplies.

Ms. Krismine Marie Moncanto Woo, President of the Parents’ Auxiliary Council of Kong Hua School, stated that the main objective of the activity is to promote a culture of voluntary blood donation in the community, to save lives and ensure that blood supplies are readily available for patients in need. She further expressed her gratitude to the troops of 4ID for their invaluable contribution, emphasizing the positive impact it has on the lives of many.

In a statement, 4ID Commander, Brigadier General Michele B. Anayron Jr., stated that the continuous participation of 4ID troops in different bloodletting activities such as this is a part of the Philippine Army’s thrust and program geared towards ensuring that hospitals and medical facilities will have a stable and sufficient supply of blood. He also underscored the importance of such initiatives in reinforcing the Army’s bond with the community and emphasized that this act of service is an embodiment of the soldiers’ dedication to both the defense of the nation and the well-being of the people.

The said activity serves as a testament to the continuous support and cooperation between the 4ID and the civilian community, fostering a culture of shared responsibility and service for the greater good.
