
A total of one hundred eighty (180) members of the CAFGU Active Auxiliary (CAA) under the operational control of the 4th Infantry (Diamond) Division, Philippine Army, commenced their CAA Refresher Training on June 4, 2025, at the 4th Division (Mentor) Training School (4DTS) in Barangay Impalambong, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon.
The training cohort consists of one hundred seventy-six (176) male and four (4) female CAAs from various line units of brigades and battalions operating within 4ID’s area of responsibility. This refresher course is aimed at reinforcing fundamental military skills, discipline, and professionalism among CAA personnel, who serve as essential force multipliers in the Army’s focus military operations.
In a parallel initiative, an additional two hundred (200) CAAs also began their refresher training today, June 9, 2025, during the official opening ceremony held at Camp Dayoan in Barangay Tago, Surigao del Sur. The simultaneous conduct of these trainings underscores 4ID’s focused efforts to elevate the standards and capabilities of its auxiliary forces across the 4ID area of responsibility.
Key subjects covered in the program include Military Courtesy, Personal Hygiene, Military Justice, and Military Intelligence, core areas that enhance the CAAs’ operational readiness, ethical conduct, and overall effectiveness in conflict-affected and geographically isolated communities.
Col. Noel Calimquim, Chief of the Division CAA Affairs Office (DCAO) of 4ID, emphasized the importance of continuous training in maintaining a mission-ready and professional auxiliary force. He highlighted that the ongoing programs reflect the division’s dedication to the holistic development of its personnel.
Meanwhile, Major General Michele B. Anayron Jr., Commander of the 4th Infantry (Diamond) Division, stressed that the refresher trainings are crucial in improving the division’s overall operational preparedness. He noted that CAAs play a pivotal role in supporting regular troops and in advancing community-based security and peace-building efforts across Northern Mindanao and the Caraga regions.
The ongoing trainings reaffirm 4ID’s enduring commitment to developing a disciplined, capable, and community-anchored auxiliary force that actively contributes to sustained peace and development within its area of responsibility.
