4ID Hosts Multi-Sector Advisory Board 2021 Year-End Meeting

CAMP EVANGELISTA, Cagayan de Oro City – The 4th Infantry (Diamond) Division hosted the 2021 year-end Multi-Sector Advisory Board (MSAB) meeting at the Alcoseba Hall, Camp Evangelista, Patag, Cagayan de Oro City on March 29, 2022.

The Regional Director of NEDA-X, Ms Myla Faye Aurora B. Cariño, who is also the MSAB Vice-Chair facilitated the on-site meeting which was attended by 4ID Commander, Major General Wilbur C Mamawag, while the MSAB Chairperson, Mr. Ariel C. Hernandez joined the meeting via online.

The MSAB, which meets quarterly, is composed of representatives from select agencies, private entities, academe and religious sectors. They recommend programs and initiatives to improve the systems and processes for the effective delivery of various programs and services of 4ID.

During the said meeting, the four (4) MSAB committees such as the Governance, Strategic Communication, Resource Management and Performance Management Committees, presented their respective accomplishments and recommendations for the sustainability of implemented programs.

MSAB Chairperson Mr Hernandez commended the 4ID Officers and Enlisted for being the first major Army unit to have undertaken initiatives that emanated from the recommendations of MSAB.

In his statement, Maj. Gen. Mamawag expressed his gratitude to the MSAB members for guiding 4ID in its journey to become a world-class Infantry Division. He further stated that despite the changes in leadership, 4ID will remain focused in accomplishing its mission and in sustaining the peace and order situation that the people in its area of responsibility are currently enjoying.

In his statement, Maj. Gen. Mamawag expressed his gratitude to the MSAB members for guiding 4ID in its journey to become a world-class Infantry Division. He further stated that despite the changes in leadership, 4ID will remain focused in accomplishing its mission and in sustaining the peace and order situation that the people in its area of responsibility are currently enjoying.

“I encourage the 4ID troopers, to sustain our gains by performing our mandated tasks while safeguarding human rights. If we get our acts together, we will always remain strong. It is also heart-warming to know that our partner stakeholders remain supportive of our campaign,” Maj. Gen. Mamawag further added.
