CAMP EVANGELISTA, Cagayan de Oro – The 4th Infantry (Diamond) Division strengthened partnership and recognized the contributions of its media partners to the government’s “whole-of-nation” efforts during the year-end Media Fellowship Night 2022 held at 4ID Headquarters Camp Evangelista in Cagayan de Oro City, on December 22, 2022.
With the theme “Fostering Unity, Strengthening Partnership,” the event expressed the 4ID’s gratitude and recognize its media partners, who played a vital role as a key partner in the information campaign in line with the aim of ending the local communist armed conflict in its area of responsibility.
Highlighting the activity was the giving of bundle of packages and a raffle draw prizes where media partners from Cagayan de Oro, Bukidnon, Caraga Region, and Iligan received simple but meaningful gift from 4ID.
In his message, 4ID Commander MGen Wilbur C. Mamawag, as delivered by Col. Michele Anayron Jr., the Assistant Division Commander for Reservist and Retiree Affairs (ADC-RRA), conveyed his profound gratitude to the members of the media for their role in the government’s goal in peace and development, quoted as follows;
“The whole-of-nation” approach of the government to end the local communist armed conflict would not succeed without the support of our media partners. By informing and educating the public of our campaign efforts, accomplishment, programs, and initiatives, you have connected 4ID to the people, turning our endeavors into ones that truly cement long-lasting change.”
Meanwhile, Mr. Frank Mendez, the Club President of Cagayan de Oro Press Club (COPC) and Station Manager of 1188 AM Radio Ultra Cagayan de Oro, expressed his appreciation for sustaining the positive relationsip and acknowledging the efforts of the media. He said that they would support and continue to do their part in the attainment of long-lasting peace and development of our nation.
