559 members of the Army Reserve Force undergoing Battalion Organizational training in Camiguin Island

CAMP EVANGELISTA, Cagayan de Oro City – The 10th Regional Community Defense Group (10th RCDG), Reserve Command, Philippine Army through the 1005th Community Defense Center opened the Battalion Organizational Training of the army reservists held at Camiguin Polytechnic State College (CPSC), Mambajao, Camiguin on Wednesday, January 4, 2023.


A total of 559 reservists were organized to undergo training to fill up the 1007th Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion (RRIBn), the newly organized RRIBn in the said province. The 1007th RRIBn is composed of retired military personnel, terminated CAFGUs, ROTC and BCMT graduates.


The training is designed to refresh the members of the newly organized RRIBn on the mission, functions, organizational structure, and capabilities of a Ready Reserve Unit. It can be recalled that the members of the reserve force provided significant contributions, helping others in times of calamities by volunteering their countless services to the people.


Commander 4ID, Major General Wilbur C Mamawag PA commends the members of the Army Reserve Force for their voluntary efforts to serve the country in times of calamities and natural disasters.
“The reserve force plays an integral role, especially during the conduct of 4ID’s Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response Operations (HADR) in our area of responsibility. Through this Battalion Organizational Training being conducted, military reservists will be refreshed on their knowledge and skills ready to accomplish their mandated task.” MGen Mamawag added.
