GIGAQUIT, SURIGAO DEL NORTE – The Army of 30th Infantry (Fight On) Battalion in collaboration with various local government agencies facilitated the distribution of goods during the “Serbisyong Caravan” dubbed as Serbisyong Hingpit Para sa Mainit held at Barangay Tapain, Mainit, Surigao del Norte on August 30, 2023.
A total of 100 beneficiaries from the aforementioned barangay received a sack of rice, slippers, seedlings, can goods, medicines, free medical checkups, free circumcision (Operation Tuli) and free haircut from different local governments agencies, as part of the Executive Order 70 or “Institutionalizing the Whole-of-Nation Approach in attaining inclusive and sustainable peace that recognizes the importance of addressing the root causes of insurgency and promoting the participation of all sectors of society in peace-building efforts.
Executive Officer of 30IB, MAJ JASPER T GACAYAN representative of 30IB Commanding Officer, LTC JEROLD H JALE together with 1LT IAN LEMUEL A LALATA, Civil-Military Operations Officer were among the attendees during the activity.
Honorable Crisanta O Mondano, the Municipal Mayor of Mainit expressed her utmost gratitude to all the local government agencies, 30IB under the operational control of 901st Infantry Brigade of 4th Infantry (Diamond), PNP, and BFP for assisting and facilitating the distribution of commodities to the beneficiaries.
Meanwhile, COL ARNOLD BERNARDO, the Deputy Commander of 901st Infantry Brigade uttered the “Serbisyong Caravan”, demonstrate government’s dedication in resolving conflicts and fostering peace through community-centered efforts by extending essential services directly to conflict-affected areas. This service approach not only addresses immediate needs but also cultivates an environment of empowerment, cooperation, and progress.
He also highlighted, as the programs evolves, its success could serve and the remnants of Communist Terrorist as a blueprint for innovative strategies in conflict resolution and community development on a broader scale in ending the local communist armed conflict in the area of responsibilities of 4ID.
