In its continuing commitment to ensure the safety and well-being of its personnel, the 4th Infantry (Diamond) Division has once again participated in the third Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) yesterday, September 8, 2023, at 4ID Headquarters, Camp Evangelista, Patag, Cagayan de Oro City.
Officers, Enlisted Personnel, and Civilian Human Resources assigned in the different post units and offices inside the camp collectively joined the drill by performing the “Duck, Cover, and Hold” procedure and subsequently proceeded to the designated consolidation area at 4ID grounds.
Said drill served as an opportunity for 4ID to enhance its emergency preparedness and response capabilities. Through the quarterly conduct and participation in the activity, 4ID demonstrates its unwavering commitment to personnel safety by empowering them with the knowledge and skills necessary to protect themselves and others. Likewise, it also served an opportunity for 4ID to evaluate its existing emergency protocols and identifying areas for improvement.
NSED is a quarterly event spearheaded by the National Disaster Risk and Reduction Management Council to help the public prepare for possible catastrophic seismic events.
