Gigaquit, Surigao del Norte – Twenty-Eight (28) former rebels received agricultural tools from TESDA Surigao del Norte during the Agronomics Toolkits Distribution held at the military office of 30IB located in Brgy Mahanub, Gigaquit, Surigao del Norte on October 3, 2023.
The aforementioned equipment consists of 28 Pick Mattock, Knapsack Sprayer, Rake, Post Hole Digger and Pruning Shear that each beneficiary. The toolkits are part of the Agronomics training package implemented by TESDA-SDN intended for the former rebels as part of integrating them into the mainstream society.
Attendees were the Administrator of the Provincial Training Center in Surigao del Norte, Engr. Edwin C. Lanquino, personnel of the Technical Education Skills and Development Authority of Surigao del Norte (TESDA-SDN) led by its Provincial Director Ms Catalina O Tacubao, Commanding Officer of 30IB LTC JEROLD H JALE and Executive Officer of the 901st Brigade, LTC SANDY U SEREÑO.
In a statement, Director Tacubao said that TESDA has programs for FRs, and in the future there will be trainings that will be implemented for the people who want to have skills training for development.
30IB Commanding Officer, LTC JEROLD JALE expressed his profound gratitude as he also assures that the 30IB troops will remain resilient to work collaboratively with all the various agencies to sustain the gain and welfare of FRs
