CAMP EVANGELISTA, Cagayan de Oro City – Over a hundred motorbike enthusiasts from all over Mindanao gathered for the first of its kind ‘Meet and Greet’ event with the Commander of the 4th Infantry (Diamond) Division at Camp Evangelista this city on Sunday, October 8, 2023.
Major General Jose Maria R. Cuerpo II, a motorbike enthusiast himself, initiated the event which symbolized the unity of motorcycle clubs and the commitment of 4ID to fostering a positive and enduring relationship with the said groups who took a long ride to Cagayan de Oro City from their location points in Davao, Bukidnon, Iligan City, Lanao del Norte, Butuan City, Marawi City, Lanao del Sur and other places.
During the event, the 4ID street was abuzz with a diverse array of motorcycles, showcasing vintage classics, customized masterpieces, and modern marvels. The riders further exchanged valuable stories and celebrated their shared love for two-wheeled adventures during the fellowship and had the chance to win prizes in the raffle draw.
Furthermore, Maj. Gen. Cuerpo II expressed his deep appreciation to all the riders who took time and effort to join the momentous event. He further recognized the importance of the said engagement which strengthened ties with his fellow motorbike riders, and served as a testament to the shared values of dedication, camaraderie, and the spirit of adventure of the 4ID and the motorbike clubs.
“I would like to thank each one of you for your passion and enthusiasm in coming here and gather with us. This gathering will surely bring positive impact in building stronger communities and tighten our endeavor in making this as an avenue to further serve our people. Rest assured that the 4ID remains committed to nurturing this relationship and looks forward to more opportunities for collaboration in the future,” he added.
The fun-filled event ended with a ‘boodle fight’ and the motorbike clubs had the opportunity to pose for a photo with the 4ID Commander.
