4ID Reaffirms Commitment to Peaceful and Credible Elections in Solidarity Pact Signing

The 4th Infantry (Diamond) Division reaffirmed its steadfast commitment to ensure a peaceful and credible electoral process in a solidarity pact signing today, February 5, 2025, held at the Covered Court, Camp 1LT Vicente G Alagar, Lapasan, this city.

Brigadier General Michele B. Anayron Jr., Commander, 4ID, joined Atty. Renato A. Magbutay, Regional Director, COMELEC 10, PBGen Jaysen C De Guzman, Regional Director, Police Reginal Office 10, along with the heads and representatives from the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Department of Education, faith-based organizations, and other government agencies in a symbolic gesture of unity that reflect their collective resolve to foster a Fair, Orderly and Reliable Election 2025.

In his remark, BGen Anayron reaffirmed 4ID’s commitment to providing a safe and secure election and underlined 4ID’s preparation for the upcoming election.

“As your partners in security, the 4th Infantry Division remains vigilant and steadfast in our commitment to provide a safe and secure election. Our preparations are already underway, with measures that include: Joint AFP-COMELEC checkpoints in strategic locations; scheduled security meetings to rationalize and augment forces leading up to the elections; and comprehensive threat assessments from January to May 2025, given the heightened risks during the campaign period,” the 4ID Commander said.

Further, BGen. Anayron assured the public that amidst the election season, 4ID troops will continue to prevent the communist terrorist group’s (CTG) intimidation and extortion, acts of terrorism and threats.
