The 4th Field Artillery Battalion (Strike From Afar), together with its Alpha, Bravo, and Charlie Batteries, executed a series of simultaneous civic action activities across its area of operations on February 1, 2025.
The initiative sought to deliver various services to local communities, including clean-up drives, feeding programs, free eye check-ups, distribution of reading glasses, slippers, vitamins, and school supplies, as well as tree planting and free obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN) check-ups. These efforts reflected the battalion’s dedication to community welfare and underscored its commitment to social responsibility.
Each battery conducted outreach activities in different locations, benefiting a total of 800 individuals. The Headquarters Battery organized its event at Purok 2-B Chapel in Barangay Gusa, Cagayan de Oro City, where beneficiaries received feeding programs, free eye check-ups, and distributed items such as reading glasses, slippers, and vitamins. The Alpha Battery, on the other hand, operated in Barangay Bulonay, Impasug-ong, Bukidnon, offering free OB-GYN check-ups and a feeding program.

Meanwhile, the Bravo Battery conducted activities in three locations—a clean-up drive in Barangay Bancasi, Butuan City, Agusan del Norte; an outreach and tree planting in Barangay Lunotan, Gingoog City, Misamis Oriental; and another clean-up drive in Barangay Bulahan, Claveria, Misamis Oriental. Charlie Battery also successfully organized a clean-up drive in Barangay Awa, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur.
The 4th Field Artillery Battalion extended its gratitude to its partners and stakeholders, whose contributions played a vital role in the success of the activities. Among those acknowledged were Task Force-Oro, 4th Cavalry Company, 8th Infantry Battalion, 1st Civil Military Operation Company, 3rd CMO Company, 4th CMO Battalion, 58th Infantry Battalion, 401st Infantry Brigade, and the ready reserve field artillery batteries from Misamis Oriental, Bukidnon, Agusan del Norte, and Agusan del Sur.
The battalion also recognized organizations such as the Cagayan de Oro Eagles Club, Soriano Philippines Community Health Foundation, Misamis Oriental Pharmacists Association, J.R. Borja General Hospital, Gusa Barangay Council, Knights of Columbus, Mindanao Philippines Sunday Journal, Alpha Theta Omega, Julies Bakeshop, Del Monte Philippines, and the Fellow Philippine Obstetrical and Gynecological Society (FPOGS) Northern Mindanao Chapter, among others.
The event’s success highlighted the collaborative efforts of the battalion and its partners, showcasing their collective commitment to making a meaningful impact on the lives of people within their operational areas.
