4ID Joins 1st Quarter 2025 RTF-ELCAC 10 Technical Working Group Meeting

The Technical Working Group (TWG) of the Regional Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict – 10 (RTF-ELCAC-10) convened its 1st Quarter 2025 meeting, on Friday, March 28, 2025, held at the 4th Infantry (Diamond) Division Clubhouse inside Camp Evangelista, Patag, Cagayan de Oro City.

The activity kicked off with the election of the new set of RTF-ELCAC-10 TWG officers. The members of the RTF-ELCAC-10 TWG headed by Regional Directors or their representatives from the national government agencies in Region 10 attended the meeting, which aimed to discussed updates on key developments in areas such as infrastructure development, social welfare, healthcare, livelihood, education, and security, focusing on the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP) for former rebels and People’s Organizations, as well as various Support to Barangay Development Programs (SBDP) delivered to far-flung communities. These efforts are part of the government’s “whole-of-nation” approach, which aims to address the root causes of insurgency at the grassroots level and dismantle the conditions that the communist terrorist Groups (CTGs) exploit, ultimately strengthening communities and fostering long-term peace and stability.

Brigadier General Consolito P. Yecla, Assistant Division Commander, 4ID, provided updates on 4ID’s peace efforts, highlighting significant combat accomplishments since January this year and the continuous success of the Region’s acclaimed banner program, the Convergence Areas for Peace and Development (CAPDev) program, which resulted in improved development outcomes across the region.

In a statement, MGen Anayron conveyed his profound gratitude to the RTF-ELCAC-10 TWG for its continuous trust and support. He assured that 4ID will remain steadfast in its commitment to the goals of the task force. Further, he reaffirmed 4ID’s dedication to increasing operational tempo to ensure the complete dismantling of the communist terrorist groups (CTGs) and fostering a peaceful environment conducive to sustainable development.
