4ID facilitates Oath to Service to newly-enlisted Privates

Seven (7) newly-enlisted privates of the 4th Infantry (Diamond) Division took their oath to service during the Flag Raising and Oath Taking Ceremony held at 4ID Headquarters, Camp Evangelista, Patag, Cagayan de Oro City on June 3.

Said privates was specifically selected and recruited to become members of the Philippine Army through Special Enlistment, due to their different skills and talents that will greatly contribute to the 4ID mission accomplishment. They will soon undergo Basic Military Training (BMT) at the Training and Doctrine Command in Capas, Tarlac in July this year.

The ceremony was led by 4ID Assistant Division Commander Brigadier General George Banzon and attended by other Officers, Enlisted Personnel and the Civilian Human Resource.

In his message delivered by the Brig. Gen. Banzon, Major General Jose Maria R. Cuerpo II, Commander of 4ID congratulated the new privates and reminded them of the beginning of a new journey, leaving behind the lives they used to live as civilians.

“Your commitment signifies that you are now ready to take the challenges of partaking a role in national events and be equipped to continue in the goal of attaining sustainable peace and development. Remember, this is only the beginning of your journey, there will be rough roads ahead and it will challenge you, shape you and ultimately, it will define you. You will be tested in ways where you will discover your true strength and resilience,” he said.
