CAMP EVANGELISTA, Cagayan de Oro City – Major General Jose Maria R Cuerpo II, Commander of the 4th Infantry (Diamond) Division, praised the achievements of the Joint Task Force Diamond (JTFD) during the 2nd Quarter Calendar Year 2024 Campaign Progress Review and Assessment (CPRA) and Command Conference. The event was held on July 12, 2024, at the 4ID Conference Room, Camp Evangelista, Patag, Cagayan de Oro City.
The CPRA 2024 meeting brought together key leaders, including Brigade and Battalion Commanders and other officers from the JTFD, both in-person and via video teleconferencing (VTC). The conference underscored the significant progress achieved in the region’s peace and development efforts, with comprehensive reports presented by the 4ID General Staff and Brigade Commanders from the 401st, 402nd, 403rd, and 901st Infantry Brigades.
The meeting provided an opportunity to review recent achievements, assess challenges, and strategize future operations. Significant operational successes from April 1 to June 30, 2024, were discussed. Notable accomplishments included twelve major encounters with the North Eastern Mindanao Regional Committee, resulting in the neutralization of seventeen (17) CPP-NPA Terrorists (CNTs) and the seizure of twenty-four (24) high-powered and four (4) low-powered firearms.
Similarly, operations against the North Central Mindanao Regional Committee led to five encounters, neutralizing twenty-eight (28) CNTs and confiscating twenty-seven (27) high-powered and one (1) low-powered firearm.
Major General Cuerpo II highlighted the crucial role of steadfast leadership in achieving operational excellence. He emphasized the importance of upholding leadership ethos, which guides missions from start to finish with dignity and pride.
