To celebrate its annual Christmas Sportsfest, the troops of the 4th Infantry (Diamond) Division (4ID) conducted a foot march at Camp Evangelista, Patag, Cagayan de Oro City, on December 5, 2024.
The foot march, which began early in the morning, involved officers, enlisted personnel, and Civilian Human Resources of the 4ID marching together, showcasing teamwork, camaraderie, and physical endurance. This event was designed to promote unity and fitness, creating a festive atmosphere as the troops prepared for the holiday season.
In addition to the foot march, the celebration featured a raffle draw at the Montalvan Hall in the 4ID Gymnasium, offering exciting prizes and adding a fun element to the day’s activities.
Major General Jose Maria R. Cuerpo II, Commander of the 4th Infantry (Diamond) Division, expressed pride in the event and stressed the importance of such activities in strengthening the soldiers’ unity and morale.
“The foot march is a testament to the dedication and discipline of our troops. It is through activities like this that we continue to build a stronger, healthier, and more united 4ID. This Christmas Sportsfest also allows us to show our appreciation for our soldiers’ hard work and commitment throughout the year,” Major General Cuerpo II said.
The event is part of the 4ID’s ongoing efforts to promote physical wellness, teamwork, and community within the division. The much-anticipated Christmas Sportsfest not only encourages healthy living but also provides an opportunity for the troops to bond and relax before the busy year-end period.
