Philippine Army Officer Admission Board Visits 4ID, Deliberate Newly Qualified OCC Applicants

The Philippine Army Officer Admission Board, headed by Colonel Harold M. Cabunoc, Commandant of the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) of the Philippine Army, visited the 4th Infantry (Diamond) Division at the 4ID Headquarters, Camp Evangelista, Patag, Cagayan de Oro City, on November 21, 2024.

The main objective of the visit was to conduct a comprehensive review and evaluation of applicants for the Officer Candidate Course (OCC) from the 4th Infantry Division (4ID). This recruitment review occurred on November 20-21, 2024, and was hosted at the headquarters of the 10th Regional Community Defense Group, Reserve Command, Philippine Army, located within Camp Evangelista.

Colonel Cabunoc, together with Colonel Leah L. Santiago, the Deputy Assistant Chief of Staff for Personnel (OG1) of the Philippine Army, held discussions with Colonel Cesar J. Conte Jr., the Chief of Staff of the 4th Infantry Division (4ID) during their visit. The conversations focused on important updates regarding personnel matters, as well as the morale and welfare of soldiers. Additionally, they emphasized ongoing efforts to strengthen the Army’s capabilities and enhance operational success.

He encouraged qualified individuals interested in the Officer Candidate Course to pursue a military career. He emphasized that the OCC provides excellent educational opportunities, a chance to build discipline, and the pride of serving the nation.

Major General Jose Maria R. Cuerpo II, the Commander of the 4ID, emphasized the significance of the OCC in developing future military leaders and ensuring the ongoing growth and readiness of the Armed Forces.
