4ID Hosts 2nd Northern Mindanao RJSCC Monthly Conference, Strengthen Security and Collaboration Ahead of 2025 Election

The 4th Infantry (Diamond) Division, led by Brigadier General Michele B. Anayron Jr., hosted the 2nd Northern Mindanao Regional Joint Security and Coordinating Center (RJSCC) Monthly Conference on February 18, 2025, held at the Division Clubhouse, Camp Evangelista, Patag, Cagayan de Oro City.

The conference aimed at enhancing inter-agency coordination and fortifying regional security in preparation ahead of the upcoming May 2025 Midterm National and Local Election. This underscores the unwavering commitment to strengthening the security measures and collaborations among agencies across Northern Mindanao.

Atty. Renato A. Magbutay, the Regional Election Director of the Commission on Elections (COMELEC), led the activity along with BGen Anayron and Police Brigadier General Jaysen C. De Guzman, the Regional Director of Police Regional Office 10. They were joined by BGen Marion T Angcao, Commander of the 1003rd Infantry Brigade, 10th Infantry (Agila) Division and BGen Anthon G Abrina, Commander of the 2nd Mechanized Brigade, Armor Division, PA, who represented the 1st Infantry (Tabak) Division.

Also in attendance were heads and representatives from the Philippine Coast Guard District Northern Mindanao, the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA) Region 10, the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Region 10, and the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Region 10.

During the conference, preparations for the elections were presented and discussed, focusing on enhancing inter-agency coordination, strengthening information-sharing mechanisms, reviewing and assessing the identified election areas of concern, threats to peace and development, and unified approaches to combat emerging threats and reinforce stability in the region.

BGen Anayron emphasized that collective action is essential to ensuring a safe and stable region. He said that the concerned agency can directly communicate with the nearest 4ID unit, especially to the Brigade Commanders for immediate assistance. Further, he reiterated 4ID’s commitment to ensuring a free, orderly, and reliable election.

“When it comes to election duties, we are under your [COMELEC] control. Rest assured that the 4th Infantry Division, the whole Army group, will be under your direction, and we will be very much willing and prepared to provide the necessary help you need from our forces,” the 4ID Commander said.
